Strunal
"Strunal" is a brand of classical guitar, hand-made in Eastern Europe, Luby, Czech Republic, and imported to America. The region around Luby has had violin and guitar luthiers since the latter half of the 16th century; the company as we know it today was formed in the 1930's, and was modernized in the 1960's.
They specialize in making fractional guitar sizes, copying what has been done in violin making, so even the youngest students can have a guitar that fits their hands and bodies, yet plays in tune just like the full-size. These guitars are the number-one preference of string educators, from private studios to universities.
Endorsed, among others, by Dr. Brent G. McPike, guitar professor, Indiana State University, and Dr. Julio Ribeiro Alves, guitar professor, Marshall University (former guitar teachers at CHAMPLIN MUSIC).

The "Standard" Strunal guitar has a laminated spruce top, and laminated mahogony back and sides. It is the most durable of their student instruments. We usually have all five sizes in stock.
As a service to my customers, and acknowledging the needs of the growing student, I offer a simple trade-in plan on the Strunal: take reasonable care of your guitar, and receive up to a 50% trade-in allowance on the next size guitar (trade-in value subject to my evaluation and discretion).

The "Deluxe" Strunal guitar has a solid cedar top, with laminated mahogony back and sides. The solid top gives a much richer, more resonant tone, but it is not as durable as the laminate, so this advice should be taken into consideration. These are "special order" items, and are available in all five sizes.
